Robert Isaacs is a Lead Podiatrist in Biomechanical Therapies. Robert's lecture at our Annual General Meeting and Conference 2010 at Nottingham was titled "Heuristics and Cognitive Illusions in Clinical Practice and Research" and was presented on the Sunday. His lecture is an exploration of the cognitive errors which are hard wired into all of us and which can lead to objectively excellent, or disastrously harmful clinical decisions. The depth and scope of these 'heuristics' is both fascinating and alarming.
